Big bass on the brink
BASS recently took an advert in the September 2005 issue of 'Sea Angler' magazine in an effort to inform the sea angling public, that, if they wish to see a healthy bass fishery for future generations, now is the time to get involved. After several years of lobbying, the Government is at last waking up to the fact theat 'Recreational Sea Angling' is big business, even their own advisers are advocating a greater slice of the 'fisheries cake' to the recreational sea angling industry.
A copy of that advert, Big bass on the brink has been published on the website.
Earlier in the year, after their submission of evidence to the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee, on the future of UK Fishing policy, BASS were invited by the 'Parliamentary Monitor' magazine, a highly respected publication, to write the following article; 'The fish that lays the golden egg' for their March 2005 issue concerning the UK Fishing Industry. A copy of that article has also been published on the website.
